2024 December
I am featured on Czech Television regarding the Stanislav Libenský Award 2024!

2024 December
I am honored and pleased to have won the First Prize of the Stanislav Libenský Award 2024 @libenskyaward with my artwork, “The Melody of Memories.” This competition, also known as the “Oscars for Young Glass Artists” honored talented young glass artists from all around the world. This year, the expert jury selected 48 finalists from 19 countries. The top prize was presented to me by the former First Lady of the Czech Republic!
Exhibiting in the Clam-Gallas palace that used to hold concerts conducted by Mozart and Beethoven means a lot to this particular artwork of mine. And winning this award means a lot to me and opens up a lot of opportunities for me, especially I am new to the European world of glass. I am glad that my artwork will be getting more exposure to Europe and hopefully the rest of the world.
Without the supports and helps from many many people, I wouldn’t have come that far,, and I know that this journey of exploring the glass world is not ending yet.
If anyone will be in Prague until January 5th 2025, feel free to see the whole award exhibition. Here are the exhibition details:
Dates: December 3, 2024 – January 4, 2025
Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Closed Mondays
Location: Clam-Gallas Palace, Husova 158/20, Prague 1
Everyone has worked so hard for this exhibition! Please come and support!

2022 October - 2023 March ; 2023 April ONWARDS!
I am happy to annouce that I got accepted to be one of the five students to study in the Advanced Research Studies Program at Toyama City Institute of Glass Art (TIGA) starting in April 2023 for 2 years!
Studying glass in Japan has been a dream since 2 years ago. Earlier this year, I made the decision to come to Tokyo to study Japanese language for half a year to satisfy the VISA requirement for studying at TIGA. However, at that time, I did not know whether I will be accepted to be a student at TIGA yet. During these few months in Japan, I kept having thoughts about what if I don’t get accepted after coming all the way to Japan to study Japanese. Those dreams had been haunting me for some nights. There were tons of worries. It’s such a huge relief now that studying glass in Japan is not a dream anymore!
In the meantime, I will keep working hard to improve my Japanese language ability in my Japanese language school in Tokyo (since most of the teaching and researching will be in Japanese when I go to Toyama).

2022 September
My work, “A Pause in Silence” has been selected and published on the New Glass Review 42 from  the Corning Museum of Glass.
Words cannot express how thankful I am for those who have been supporting me all along the way. I still have a very long way to become a better and successful artist and glassblower, so I will keep working hard!

2022 June 14th - July 17th
My recent work is being shown as a part of the Chrysler Glass Studio Assistantship Exhibition “Un-tidaled” at the Chrysler Museum of Art. Check it out if you’re in Norfolk! It will be up until July 17th and there will be a closing reception on July 12th (Tuesday).
2022 June 3rd
It was my pleasure to be in charge of creating the soundscape and improvising on cello for Chrysler Museum of Art Vitreous Theater, a performance art “This Act” involving glassblowing and dancing by renowned contemporary artist Brendan Fernandes. Words cannot explain how thankful I was for this opportunity which pushed my limits and made me step out of my comfort zone.
2022 April 6th - October 5th
If you ever fly into Norfolk, check out my newest work at the Norfolk International Airport! It's up until October 5th 2022!
2022 January - July
I am excited to share that I was selected to be part of the 2022 Spring Studio Assistantship at the Chrysler Museum of Art Glass Studio in Norfolk, Virginia!

2021 July - November
Working as a Hotshop Assistant at AO Glass in Burlington, Vermont was my first job out of college. I am very grateful to have AO Glass being the start of my glass journey. During the time when I was working in Vermont, I was a part of the production of bubbly glass balls for an installation "Decoding the Tree of Life" at Penn Medicine's Pavilion Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania designed by Maya Lin, the architect who designed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. I also assisted in production of custom glass parts of lightings fixtures and glasswares.

2021 May
After 5 years of college life, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Bachelor of Fine Arts concentrating in Glass & Printmaking with Distinctive Scholastic Achievement!
2020 July & August
Although all summer glass classes had been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic that I was excited about, I had a wonderful artist assistance internship opportunity instead for Anna Mlasowsky & Matt Szösz in Seattle, Washington. Learning about kiln-working is a totally different experience for me since I do not usually create artworks using kiln. I also had a chance to learn about making glass rope and glass inflatables, which are the techniques that are invented by themselves. Both Anna and Matt are amazing artists and teachers. Words can't express how thankful I am for their guidance and help!

2019 December
It was a great pleasure meeting one of the last neon masters in Hong Kong who has over 35 years of experience - Mr. Wu Chi-Kai (胡智楷師傅). I have definitely learned a lot by visiting his studio, as well as from his neon making techniques and designs. Thank you for everything, from letting me visit your studio to teaching me first hand. See you again next time I come back to Hong Kong, Master Wu!
2019 May - August
After studying abroad in Florence, Italy for 2 months in May and June, I went solo traveling in 40 different cities in European countries Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Monaco, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Spain.
